The Handmaid’s Tale Begins Production for Sixth and Final Season

The Emmy Award-winning series ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ has commenced production on its sixth and final season, scheduled to air in Spring 2025. Based on Margaret Atwood’s classic novel, the show is a portrait of life in the dystopian society of Gilead, formerly the United States.

The series follows Offred, played by Elisabeth Moss, a fertile woman forced into reproductive servitude for a powerful Commander and his wife in the oppressive Republic of Gilead. Offred’s journey is a powerful statement on survival in a totalitarian regime.

Alongside Moss the final season cast includes Yvonne Strahovski, Bradley Whitford, Max Minghella, Ann Dowd, O-T Fagbenle, Samira Wiley, Madeline Brewer, Amanda Brugel, Sam Jaeger, Ever Carradine, and Josh Charles.
