The Hospital: Life on the Line returns with another insightful episode, airing on Channel 5 on Monday, 17 June 2024. The episode offers a profound look into the lives of patients facing heart-related challenges and the dedicated staff at the NHS Golden Jubilee Hospital in Clydebank, who are committed to providing both physical and emotional support.

In this episode, we meet 48-year-old Joanna, who initially believed she had contracted COVID-19, only to discover that she was experiencing heart failure and urgently required a heart transplant. Unfortunately, her health deteriorates further after two unsuccessful attempts to find a compatible heart.

Additionally, we witness the story of retired heating engineer Chris, who moved to Scotland with his family after suffering a heart attack six years ago. Now, he finds himself facing urgent heart surgery due to coronary artery disease.
