The Jane Mysteries returns with a new instalment, A Deadly Prescription, airing on Hallmark+ on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. The movie stars Jodie Sweetin and Stephen Huszar, who reprise their roles as singer-turned-detective Jane Da Silva and Detective John Cameron, respectively.
In this film, Jane, now established as the head of her family’s foundation—a non-profit detective agency—takes on a case that hits close to home. Sandra Shea, portrayed by Beth Hornby, approaches the agency, desperate to prove her son, Ryan, innocent of a pharmacist’s murder. Jane, guided by her Aunt Sadie (Paris Jefferson), embarks on an investigation filled with false confessions, missing witnesses, and buried secrets.
As the case progresses, the stakes rise, and Jane and John find themselves in a race against time to uncover the truth. Their goal is not just to solve the case but to bring justice and peace to a family in despair.
A Deadly Prescription is executive produced by Beth Stevenson, Nancy Yeaman, Stan Hum, Jodie Sweetin, and Stephen Huszar. The film is directed by Marco Defeumia and written by Neale Elizabeth Kimmel.
