The Jennifer Hudson Show

On Friday, April 26, The Jennifer Hudson Show welcomes actress Zendaya, and high school sweethearts Angelica May and Imeek Watkins, who recently became engaged.

Zendaya will discuss her new film Challengers, in which she plays a tennis coach. The romantic sports drama follows three players who knew each other as teenagers as they compete in a tennis tournament to become world-famous grand slam winners, reigniting old rivalries on and off the court. Zendaya portrays Tashi, a former tennis prodigy turned coach, who has transformed her husband, Art, into a world-famous grand slam champion. To help him break a losing streak, she makes him play a “Challenger” event, where he faces off against his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend.

Angelica May and Imeek Watkins, from Wilmington, North Carolina, recently celebrated their 10-year anniversary. May, a 27-year-old preschool teacher, was diagnosed with stage 2 triple-negative breast cancer last year and has just completed her final chemotherapy session. To mark the occasion, she rang the bell at the Novant Health Zimmer Cancer Institute, surrounded by family and friends. Moments later, Watkins surprised her with a proposal, which he had planned for about a month.

The Jennifer Hudson Show airs Friday, April 26, 2024, in syndication.
