The Killer in My Family continues with an examination of the murder of Kirby Noden, committed by her boyfriend, Dean Lowe, in 2017. Lowe, who labelled himself as ‘the biggest stoner in the world’, killed Noden with a rock and a metal pole in their flat in Marazion, Cornwall.
He then dismembered her body, disposing of parts in a wheelie bin and flushing others away. Despite denying the murder and claiming Noden was alive in South Africa, Lowe was found guilty and sentenced to a minimum of 28 years in prison.
The episode examines the details of the murder, which took place between 11 and 14 January 2017. It wasn’t until 18 May 2017 that Lowe was arrested, following disclosures he made on Facebook to relatives in Cheshire, expressing concerns for Noden’s safety. These messages prompted the relatives to alert the police, who then took action.
The Killer in My Family: Dean Lowe airs on Quest Red at 9:00 pm on Saturday, 31 August 2024.
