“The Madame Blanc Mysteries” Season 3 Now Filming for Channel 5 and Acorn TV
The third season of the crime drama The Madame Blanc Mysteries has been ordered by Channel 5 and Acorn TV. Acorn Media Enterprises will serve as international distributor, with exclusive rights outside of the UK and Northern Ireland. The series will be co-produced by Clapperboard (Cold Call, The Teacher, The Holiday) and Saffron Cherry Productions (The World According to Grandpa). Paul Testar, Commissioning Editor for Drama at Channel 5 and Paramount+, ordered the show.
What can we expect from the third series
In the third season of the French mystery series Madame Blanc (which will run to seven 60-minute episodes), antiques dealer Jean White returns as the key to solving a string of murders and mysteries set in the picturesque town of Sainte Victoire.
In December 2022, Channel 5 aired a Christmas Special for Series 2 of The Madame Blanc Mysteries, with the second season airing in January 2023. The show’s second season was even more popular than the first, drawing an average of 2.1 million viewers and capturing 10% of the audience.
Who’s returning for the third series
Series creator, Sally Lindsay (Cold Call, Mount Pleasant) reprises her role of Jean White and again joins forces with Sue Vincent (Mount Pleasant, Shameless), who returns as Gloria Beaushaw, to co-write the series. Also reprising their roles are Steve Edge (Starlings, Murder They Hope, Maxine) as local taxi-driver and sidekick Dom Hayes, Robin Askwith (Strike, Benidorm) and Sue Holderness (Only Fools and Horses, Still Open All Hours, The Green Green Grass) as eccentric married couple and manor owners Jeremy and Judith Lloyd James. Lastly, Alex Gaumond (Derry Girls, My Dinner With Hervé, Death In Paradise) is back as Chief of Police André Caron.
Tony Robinson, who first appeared in Sainte Victoire in the second season’s Christmas special as Dom’s spry Uncle Patrick, is also coming back for the third season. More casting news will be shared in the following months.

Who is making the series
The third series will be Directed by Dermot Boyd, produced by Jake Rollins, while Mike Benson and Andy Morgan will serve as Executive Producer for Clapperboard alongside Sally Lindsay and Caroline Roberts-Cherry for Saffron Cherry.
Filming is currently underway, with the Christmas special set to air on Acorn TV and Channel 5 in 2023, while the rest of the season will continue in 2024.
