What can we expect from the third series

In the third season of the French mystery series Madame Blanc (which will run to seven 60-minute episodes), antiques dealer Jean White returns as the key to solving a string of murders and mysteries set in the picturesque town of Sainte Victoire.

In December 2022, Channel 5 aired a Christmas Special for Series 2 of The Madame Blanc Mysteries, with the second season airing in January 2023. The show’s second season was even more popular than the first, drawing an average of 2.1 million viewers and capturing 10% of the audience.

Who’s returning for the third series

Series creator, Sally Lindsay (Cold Call, Mount Pleasant) reprises her role of Jean White and again joins forces with Sue Vincent (Mount Pleasant, Shameless), who returns as Gloria Beaushaw, to co-write the series. Also reprising their roles are Steve Edge (Starlings, Murder They Hope, Maxine) as local taxi-driver and sidekick Dom Hayes, Robin Askwith (Strike, Benidorm) and Sue Holderness (Only Fools and Horses, Still Open All Hours, The Green Green Grass) as eccentric married couple and manor owners Jeremy and Judith Lloyd James. Lastly, Alex Gaumond (Derry Girls, My Dinner With Hervé, Death In Paradise) is back as Chief of Police André Caron.

Tony Robinson, who first appeared in Sainte Victoire in the second season’s Christmas special as Dom’s spry Uncle Patrick, is also coming back for the third season. More casting news will be shared in the following months.

What does Sally Lindsay say

Sally Lindsay say: “We are absolutely thrilled to be returning to the sunshine and giving you another mystery packed series of Madame Blanc. I am truly humbled by the love for our show and can’t wait to give you lots more adventures. See you in St. Victoire!”
