Romesh Ranganathan turns detective once more in the first episode of The Misinvestigations of Romesh Ranganathan, this time focusing on the death of rapper Tupac Shakur. The episode airs on BBC Two on Sunday, 25 August 2024, at 6 am.
Tupac Shakur’s life and career are examined in this episode, from his rise to fame as a trailblazing rapper known for his unique blend of gangster rap, poetry, and social commentary, to his shocking death at the age of 25. Shakur’s short but impactful career saw him anger politicians and top the charts, as well as date Madonna. His shooting in Las Vegas in September 1996, following a Mike Tyson fight, sent shockwaves around the world, and he succumbed to his injuries six days later. Despite the exploration of multiple leads at the time, nobody has ever been convicted of his murder.
In his distinctive style, Romesh channels his incompetence into the case, attempting to crack the unsolved mystery of Tupac’s death.
After the recent pilot edition that saw Romesh investigation the death of Jimi Hendrix, this new series will feature three more “misinvestigations.”
The Misinvestigations of Romesh Ranganathan: The Murder of Tupac Shakur airs on Sunday, 25 August 2024, at 6:00 am on BBC Two.
