Meanwhile, PC Mary-Ann Hutchison is on patrol near Sunderland when she receives an unexpected tip from the police helicopter. The chopper has spotted a disturbing scene: a man is being assaulted, and his attackers speed away in a car. Guided by the helicopter, additional police units quickly converge on the location and intercept the vehicle. However, the two occupants are less than cooperative, leaving Mary-Ann and her colleagues with the challenging task of piecing together the events that unfolded.
Later in the episode, PC Martain finds himself in a lighthearted yet important interaction with a driver in a hurry. The officer pulls over the man in Sunderland, only to discover that his rush is not due to a typical traffic offence but a unique emergency: a craving for mozzarella dippers! While Martain empathises with the cheese lover’s urgency, he also reminds him of the importance of road safety and the potential consequences of speeding.
