OWN reality show explores couples’ relationships
The first season of the reality dating show The Never Ever Mets continues on the Oprah Winfrey Network on Friday May 10. The show follows seven couples who have been virtually dating and now meet in person to see if their relationships can survive in the real world.
In the upcoming episode, “Diss-Connections“, Sandia’s issues with Chris’s attention to Jody lead him to call her insecure. Meanwhile, Dymond is frustrated as she feels she is the only one willing to challenge this behaviour. Ta’Rhonda Jones checks in with the couples on their progress, and one couple makes a significant decision.
The Never Ever Mets features couples who have been dating online and are now meeting face-to-face for the first time. They share a house together to see if their virtual love can survive in the real world.
The show is hosted by Ta’Rhonda Jones, known for her roles in Empire, The Real, and The Steve Harvey Show. Jones serves as a voice of reason, facilitating fun team exercises and addressing relationship concerns.
In recent episodes, the couples have been navigating the challenges of in-person relationships, with some finding that their online connections don’t translate to real life. The group participates in relationship activities, couples therapy, and some even visit the “boom boom room”.
The Never Ever Mets, “Diss-Connections”, will air on May 10, 2024, on the Oprah Winfrey Network.
