On December 9, 2023, a 23-year-old mother was shot and left for dead in front of her infant daughter in Powder Springs, Atlanta. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation identified the suspect as 64-year-old Arrett Carr, who was later located and killed by law enforcement in Henry County following a tense standoff.
