The Responder Series 2

The Responder returns to BBC One with its second series, and the second episode promises to build upon the critically acclaimed foundation of its predecessor. Airing on May 12, the episode centres on Chris and Rachel’s entanglement with Franny and their ensuing efforts to extricate themselves from his grasp.

In this instalment, Chris and Rachel, played by Martin Freeman and Adelayo Adedayo, find themselves indebted to Franny and seek to rectify their situation. They devise a plan to obtain money from Jodie by agreeing to retrieve a bag of drugs from the docks, hoping to use the funds to settle their debt with Franny.

The series is distinguished by its authenticity, stemming from the writing of former Merseyside police officer Tony Schumacher.
