What’s Next for Tim and Lucy?
‘The Rookie‘ fans were left reeling after the latest episode, “Secrets and Lies,” which aired ABC on Wednesday April 9. The episode delivered a shocking blow to the beloved couple Chenford, aka Tim Bradford (Eric Winter) and Lucy Chen (Melissa O’Neil), as they faced the consequences of Tim’s lies about his military past.
After lying to Internal Affairs to protect his job and his team, including Lucy and Alyssa Diaz’s Lopez, Tim made a heartbreaking decision to break up with Lucy. Despite her protests and attempts to understand his actions, Tim insisted that he couldn’t continue their relationship, feeling that he didn’t deserve her and needed to work on himself.
A promo for the next episode teases a potential reconciliation, with Lucy questioning Tim’s ability to “let go so easily.” However, with Tim back on patrol and seeking help from a psychiatrist, it seems that he is trying to work through his issues.
Will they get back together before the end of the season though, that’s the question, lets hope so but with ABC yet to announce a seventh season renewal, there is speculation that the show might end Season 6 with the couple still apart.
