The show, based on the book “Catherine de Medici: Renaissance Queen of France” by Leonie Frieda, follows the life of Catherine de Medici, one of the most powerful and longest-serving rulers in French history.

The second season is set to premiere in the summer of 2024, continuing the story of Catherine’s reign and her ambition to modernize France.
