The Split Season 3 Premieres Mon, Apr 4 BBC One

The Split is a real-life, multi-layered, and satirical look at modern marriage and the consequences of divorce.

Following the messy lives of the three Defoe sisters, Hannah (Nicola Walker), Nina (Annabel Scholey), and Rose (Fiona Button), as well as their formidable mother Ruth (Deborah Findlay), The story is set to conclude with the most dramatic and heart-breaking series to date, as we watch a divorce lawyer confronted by her own divorce.

Christie (Barry Atsma), the cause for Hannah and Nathan’s (Stephen Mangan) marriage breakdown, will also return in the final season, which will see Hannah and Nathan’s supposedly rock-solid marriage dissolve as they strive to reach an amicable separation agreement.

Hannah realises what she is about to lose when Hannah and Nathan begin to divide their 20 years together, and a surprising revelation drastically shifts the stakes. We wonder if their dream of a “nice divorce” is even conceivable as the battle lines are redrawn. Will they be able to make their way through the rubble, or is The Split too deep to repair?

Sister Co-Founder Jane Featherstone (Chernobyl, Landscapers, This Is Going To Hurt), writer and creator Abi Morgan (River, Suffragette, The Hour), Lucy Dyke (The Split, Black Mirror, Ripper Street), and Lucy Richer (The Split, Black Mirror, Ripper Street) are executive producing Series Three for the BBC. Dee Koppang O’Leary (Bridgerton, The Crown) is the director of the film, which is produced by Sumrah Mohammed and Emma Genders.
