The Summit, a new competition reality series, makes its debut on CBS this fall. Sixteen brave strangers will tackle the rugged terrain of the New Zealand Alps, with a million-dollar prize awaiting those who reach the summit.
The Summit’s premiere episode airs on Sunday, September 29, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. The second episode will broadcast on Wednesday, October 16, at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, in its regular timeslot, following an episode of Survivor Season 47.
In The Summit, sixteen strangers face the challenge of a lifetime as they attempt to reach the peak of a towering mountain in the New Zealand Alps. With backpacks carrying an equal share of $1 million, the group must cover a vast distance in just 14 days to win the cash. However, their journey is filled with obstacles and challenges.
Contestants must negotiate treacherous terrain, battle fierce Antarctic winds, confront heart-stopping challenges, and face off against gut-wrenching eliminations. Their morals and relationships will be tested as they make tough decisions along the way. Adding to the pressure, the mysterious ‘Mountain’s Keeper’ will spring unexpected twists on the trekkers, further complicating their already arduous ascent.
The fate of the prize money rests on their ability to work together and conquer the summit in time. Manu Bennett, known for his roles in Arrow and Spartacus, serves as the host of The Summit.
