So, “The Talk” is finally wrapping it up. After 2,993 episodes, countless celebrity interviews, and enough daytime drama to fill a small country, CBS is pulling the plug. The series finale is scheduled for Friday, December 20, 2024, airing from 2:00-3:00 PM, ET (1:00-2:00 PM, PT/CT). But before you start mourning the loss of your daily dose of Akbar, Amanda, Natalie, Jerry, and Sheryl, know this: the final week is going to be a party.
Starting Monday, December 16, “The Talk” will transform into a celebratory extravaganza. Think of it as a week-long going-away bash, complete with a retrospective of the show’s 15-season run, special guests (because who doesn’t love a good cameo?), and a deluge of holiday giveaways. Now, the show has always been generous with the prizes, but this is next-level. They’re reportedly giving away over $2.5 million in goodies throughout December, culminating in the final week’s bonanza. That’s a lot of swag for a show that’s, well, ending.
“The Talk” has had a fairly successful run since its debut on October 18, 2010. Racking up over 70 award nominations, taking home 14 Daytime Emmys, a People’s Choice Award, and an NAACP Image Award, it’s no slouch in the trophy department. Over 10,800 guests have graced that stage, and they’ve handed out more than $103 million in prizes over the years. That’s a lot of cash.
Tune in to CBS or stream it on Paramount+ at 2:00 PM, ET (1:00 PM, PT/CT) weekdays for the final episodes of “The Talk.”
