On Monday, April 29, 2024, The Today Show welcomes actress Anne Hathaway, actor Nicholas Galitzine, and actress Melanie Lynskey to the show.

Anne Hathaway joins the show to discuss her latest film, “The Idea of You,” a romantic comedy directed by Michael Showalter. In the film, Hathaway portrays a 40-year-old single mother who unexpectedly falls in love with a 24-year-old boy band singer, played by Nicholas Galitzine. The film premiered at SXSW to a highly positive reception, with Hathaway’s emotional response to the audience’s enthusiasm gaining attention. “The Idea of You” is based on the novel of the same name by Robinne Lee and will be released on Prime Video on May 2, 2024.

Nicholas Galitzine, known for his roles in “Purple Hearts” and “Red, White & Royal Blue,” stars opposite Hathaway in “The Idea of You.” His chemistry with Hathaway has been described as “spiritual” and “steamy. Galitzine plays the lead singer of a popular boy band, Hayes Campbell, who falls in love with a single mother, Solène Marchand, despite their age difference.

Melanie Lynskey portrays author Heather Morris in the upcoming limited series “The Tattooist of Auschwitz,” based on the international bestselling novel by Morris. The series tells the true story of Lali and Gita Sokolov, a Jewish couple who met and fell in love in the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II. Lynskey’s character, Morris, listens to Lali Sokolov recount his past, confront his traumas, and relive his experience of falling in love in a dark place. The series will be available on Peacock starting May 2, 2024.
