On Tuesday, April 30, The Today Show with Hoda & Jenna welcomes actress and comedian Casey Wilson, known for her roles in “Happy Endings” and “Saturday Night Live.” Wilson will discuss her career and recent projects, including her book of humorous essays, “The Wreckage of My Presence,” which made The New York Times bestseller list.
Wilson began her career with the Upright Citizens Brigade comedy troupe in New York City. She gained recognition for her two-season stint on “Saturday Night Live” from 2008 to 2009, where she performed celebrity impressions and created original characters like “Dusty Velvet” and “Toni Ward.” She has since starred in comedies such as “Happy Endings, “Black Monday, and “The Shrink Next Door.” In addition to acting, Wilson is a writer, screenwriter, director, and podcaster, co-hosting the Earwolf podcast “Bitch Sesh” with Danielle Schneider.
The show will also feature Sarah Jakes Roberts, a New York Times bestselling author, entrepreneur, speaker, and philanthropist. Roberts will discuss her latest book, “Power Moves: Ignite Your Confidence and Become a Force,” which aims to help readers tap into their God-given courage and power. Roberts is the founder of Woman Evolve, a women’s empowerment brand that offers resources and tools for positive life changes. She is also a co-pastor at The Potter’s House At One LA church in Los Angeles, serving alongside her husband, Touré Roberts.
