The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

On Monday, April 29, 2024, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon welcomes actress Anne Hathaway, actress Melanie Lynskey, and pianist Lang Lang to the show.

Anne Hathaway joins host Jimmy Fallon to discuss her latest film, “The Idea of You,” an R-rated romantic drama based on Robinne Lee’s bestselling novel of the same name. In the film, Hathaway portrays a 40-year-old divorcée who embarks on a whirlwind romance with a 24-year-old boy band singer, played by Nicholas Galitzine. The film will be available for streaming on Prime Video starting May 2, 2024.

Melanie Lynskey, a critically acclaimed actress known for her roles in “Yellowjackets” and “Don’t Look Up,” visits the show to discuss her upcoming limited series, “The Tattooist of Auschwitz.” Based on the international bestselling novel by Heather Morris, the series tells the true story of Lali and Gita Sokolov, a Jewish couple who meet and fall in love in the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II. Lynskey portrays author Heather Morris in the series, which will be available on Peacock starting May 2, 2024.

The episode will also feature a musical performance by Lang Lang, a renowned pianist and educator known for his innovative approach to classical music. Lang Lang has collaborated with prominent artists and has performed at the 2008 Olympic Opening Ceremony in Beijing.
