The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon is back with a new episode on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, featuring actress Elizabeth Banks and and indie pop band Foster The People.

Elizabeth Banks, the Hollywood veteran, joins Jimmy Fallon to discuss her upcoming projects. Banks, known for her roles in “The Hunger Games” and “Pitch Perfect”, has several exciting endeavours on the horizon. These include “Forever 21”, a Dreamworks comedy which she will star in and produce, and “Too Far From Home”, a Universal film about astronauts stranded on the international space station. Banks will also be directing and starring in “The Invisible Woman” for Universal, a project she pitched herself. Additionally, she will be directing and starring in the television series “Red Queen”, based on the dystopian novel.

Banks has also been involved in other recent projects. She was set to executive produce and voice Pebbles Flintstone in the upcoming Fox animated series “Bedrock”, a reboot of “The Flintstones”, but the plans were cancelled in July 2024. She also directed the thriller film “Cocaine Bear” and starred in “The Beanie Bubble”.

The episode’s musical guest, Foster The People, is an American indie pop band formed in Los Angeles in 2009. The group has released several popular songs and albums, including their third studio album, “Sacred Hearts Club”, which featured the hit “Sit Next to Me”. They have received three Grammy Award nominations and continue to tour globally, with recent performances at the Rocking the Daisies Music Festival and Optimus Alive Festival.

The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
