So, Friday’s “The View” is shaping up to be a slightly less chaotic affair than usual. Instead of the usual political hot takes and interpersonal squabbles, ABC’s daytime staple is bringing in a dose of Hollywood glamour and musical talent. A-lister Jamie Lee Curtis will grace the table to discuss her new project, “The Sticky,” a true-crime limited series, and “American Idol” alum Jordin Sparks is slated to deliver a much-needed dose of musical cheer.
Curtis’s latest venture, “The Sticky,” centers on the decidedly un-glamorous world of maple syrup. The series, based on a true story, follows Ruth Landry, a maple syrup farmer driven to extremes when facing competition.
Adding a bit of sweetness to the proceedings, Jordin Sparks is scheduled for a musical performance. While details of her setlist are under wraps, one can hope for a blend of her chart-topping hits and some festive holiday tunes.
Presiding over this unusual mix of true crime and musical merriment will be the usual suspects: Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Ana Navarro.
“The View” airs weekdays at 11:00 a.m. on ABC.
