The celebrated singing competition series, The Voice, has been renewed for its 26th season by NBC, ensuring its presence in the 2024-25 television season. The show, hosted by Carson Daly, airs on Monday and Tuesday nights, offering a platform for aspiring singers to showcase their talent.
In the 25th season, the coaching panel consisted of music icons John Legend, Reba McEntire, and Chance the Rapper, with the addition of country-pop duo Dan + Shay. The competition follows a structured format, including blind auditions, battle rounds, knockouts, and, ultimately, live performances. From the blind auditions, 40 performers advance, chosen by the four coaches, who each mentor a group of 10. As the competition progresses, the performers are narrowed down through battles and knockouts until the live performances decide the winner.
The stakes are high, as the winner of The Voice takes home a lucrative prize of $100,000 and secures a coveted record deal with Universal Music Group. Season 25 has performed well for NBC, with the Monday episodes averaging a 0.44 rating in the 18-49 demographic and attracting 5.43 million viewers. While the show has seen a slight decrease in viewership compared to the previous spring season, it still holds a strong position in the ratings. The Tuesday episodes have also performed well, with a 0.36 rating and 4.46 million viewers.
As Season 25 nears its conclusion, with the finale set to air on May 21st, fans are eager to learn who will be crowned the winner. The show will retain it’s traditional broadcast position in the Fall 2024 schedule.
The network has not yet announced the coaches for Season 26.
The Voice Season 26 is expected to air on NBC in Fall 2024.
