World's Most Unexplained

In ‘The Yorkshire Exorcist’, airing on Travel on Sunday June 16, Scunthorpe-born psychic medium and ordained exorcist Ian Lawman takes on his most challenging and personal case yet. This time, he tackles a suspected possession directly rather than cleansing a location. The one-off special offers a fresh perspective on exorcism and provides insight into a human story.

The episode focuses on Michelle, a 44-year-old woman from Skelmersdale, Lancashire, who believes she has been plagued by a supernatural attachment for 16 years. Michelle experiences physical symptoms such as feeling drained and anxious, as well as nightmares and mysterious scratch marks. Her husband, Andy, echoes her concerns, expressing his desperation to have his wife back.

Lawman, known for his appearances on ‘Help! My House Is Haunted’, takes on this case alone. He monitors Michelle’s movements through static cameras and consults demonologist Ben Winfield, who believes Michelle might be plagued by an elemental—a mythical entity belonging to one of the four classical elements.
