In this episode of The Yorkshire Vet, we find Matt investigating the cause of lameness in a Scottish wildcat from the local zoo, only to be shocked by the X-ray results. Julian performs surgery on a beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a special connection to its family. Shona tends to a sheep with a suspicious wound, while Peter takes Matt on a unique tour of North Yorkshire, offering a much-needed break from their demanding work.

The episode begins with Matt examining the Scottish wildcat and deciding to take X-rays to understand its lameness better. However, the results reveal an unexpected and concerning issue. Meanwhile, Julian prepares for a delicate operation on the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a dog that holds a very special place in its family’s heart.

Shona visits a farm to treat a sheep with what appears to be a nasty wound. The farmer suspects that the sheep may have been shot, and Shona sets out to determine the cause and provide the necessary care.

In a break from their usual routine, Peter takes Matt on a tour of North Yorkshire, showing him the sights and providing a welcome change of pace from their busy veterinary practice. Despite the wet weather, the two vets enjoy their time away, exploring the beautiful and rugged landscapes that the region has to offer.
