On the upcoming episode of ‘The Young and the Restless,’ airing on CBS on Friday, August 9, Devon surprises Abby with a romantic picnic in the park, with the help of their son. Devon proposes to Abby with an engagement ring, and she happily accepts, sharing the news of her mother’s predicted release from the hospital in the fall. They decide on a wedding date of November 13, Abby’s birthday, making it even more special.

At Newman Enterprises, Summer confides in Victor about her custody battle with Kyle over their son. Summer expresses her concerns about Kyle’s partnership with Audra and seeks Victor’s advice. Victor emphasizes their son’s happiness and vows to speak with Kyle to avoid an ugly legal battle. Kyle, receiving Victor’s text, sends Harrison and Claire off to the park for ice cream.

The two women engage in a war of words, until Summer intervenes and removes her mother from the situation.
