TLC’s New Series Botched Bariatrics Helps Patients Fix Their Weight Loss Surgeries Gone Wrong

TLC’s latest series, Botched Bariatrics, shines a light on the devastating consequences of botched weight loss surgeries. The show follows patients who are seeking help from a team of expert doctors to correct the debilitating complications they are facing.

Each episode of Botched Bariatrics introduces viewers to individuals whose lives have been upended due to botched weight loss procedures. The series premiere on May 15 will feature Latoya, who is struggling with a 10-lb mass between her legs, and Sean, who is tired of dealing with explosive bowels that interfere with his passion for drumming.

Other patients include Alice Jean, who is left with six belly buttons after a botched lap band removal, and Christina, who has been forced to puree her food for over a decade following her weight loss surgery. One woman also shares her story of feeling “disfigured” due to a botched tummy tuck, while another patient, Simone, seeks help for uncontrollable vomiting.

The series showcases the expertise of bariatric surgeons Dr. Khan, Dr. Hodges, and Dr. Rao, along with plastic surgeons Dr. Kundu and Dr. Caplin. Together, they tackle the complex task of undoing the damage caused by previous surgeries and aim to help their patients regain their health and confidence.
