National Geographic’s To Catch a Smuggler: Tropical Takedown returns with a high-stakes bust in its latest episode, “Port Smugglers,” airing Saturday, November 9 at 10 PM. This time, the action centers on a newly minted Air and Marine Operations (AMO) agent who scores big, intercepting a shipment of cocaine valued at a staggering $8 million.

The operation doesn’t end there, as Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents move in, making multiple arrests and dismantling a ring of longshoremen implicated in the smuggling operation.

“Port Smugglers” focuses on the so-called “Caribbean Corridor,” a notorious pipeline for cocaine flowing into the US and Europe. While the Caribbean setting provides a backdrop of sun and surf, the reality depicted is anything but leisurely for the AMO and HSI agents tasked with stemming the tide of illicit substances.
