The 7-9 a.m. block includes an interview with Kelly Clarkson, an inside look at the game with Kaylee zip-lining alongside Freddie the Falcon, and a conversation with Aubrey Plaza about her latest film, “My Old Ass.” Written and directed by Megan Park, this 2024 American comedy-drama explores queer coming-of-age themes and stars Plaza, Maisy Stella, Percy Hynes White, Maddie Ziegler, and Kerrice Brooks.
Moving into the 9-10 a.m. hour, the show catches up with Bill Gates as he discusses his new Netflix series, “What’s Next: The Future with Bill Gates.” Premiering on September 18, the five-part series features interviews with notable figures like Anthony Fauci and Lady Gaga.
Plus, TODAY’s Checklist includes a discussion on the impact of seasonal changes on sleep patterns with Dr. Michael Breus, a conversation with Zachary Quinto about his role in NBC’s new medical drama, “Dr. Wolf,” and a segment on fall activities with James McMillan.
