This Friday, The Today Show goes from sports to star interviews and a hefty dose of holiday-themed fluff.
Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco will be on hand to surprise a fan, presumably someone deserving or with a compelling story, as part of an “Inside the Game” segment. Meanwhile, Zachary Quinto, starring in NBC’s medical drama Brilliant Minds, will settle into the interview chair.
Of course, it wouldn’t be The Today Show without a food-focused segment (or five). “TODAY Food Loves Football with Ayesha Nurdjaja” taps into both football and foodie demographics, while “Superfood Friday: SOS with Joy Bauer” will dispense nutritional advice just in time for all that holiday overindulgence. Speaking of the holidays, get ready for a dose of festive cheer with “Choir Week on TODAY,” featuring the Young People’s Chorus of NYC.
Rounding out the lineup, Ally Love will do… whatever Ally Love does on “Love Your Mornings.” There’s a “By the Numbers: Holiday Edition” segment planned, which will likely offer up trivia like the average number of fruitcakes consumed per capita (hopefully, close to zero). Vanessa Price will tempt viewers with a “Holiday Gift Guide: Boozy Holiday” — because nothing says Christmas like a hangover. And for a bit of musical flair, the Citi Concert Series will present a performance by Step Afrika!.
