On Monday, August 19, Today with Hoda & Jenna welcomes Arthur C. Brooks, Emma Grede, and Esther Perel to the show.

Arthur C. Brooks, an American author, public speaker, and academic, joins the show to discuss his book, Build the Life You Want: The Art and Science of Getting Happier, which he co-authored with Oprah Winfrey. Brooks is a professor at the Harvard Kennedy School and the Harvard Business School, where he teaches courses on leadership and happiness. He is also a contributing writer at The Atlantic and the host of the How to Build a Happy Life podcast.

Emma Grede, a British businesswoman, entrepreneur, and fashion designer, joins the show to discuss her various ventures. Grede is the CEO and co-founder of the denim company Good American, a founding partner of Skims, and co-founder of Safely, a brand of plant-based cleaning and self-care products. Grede is also the chairwoman of the 15 Percent Pledge, an initiative for retailers to reserve 15% of their shelf space for black-owned businesses.

Esther Perel, a Belgian-American psychotherapist, is known for her work on human relationships and the concept of “erotic intelligence.” Perel has given two TED talks, hosts two podcasts, and runs a series of therapy training and supervision events. She has written the book Mating in Captivity: Unlocking Erotic Intelligence, which has been translated into 24 languages, and was added to Oprah Winfrey’s Supersoul 100 list of visionaries and influential leaders in 2016. Perel also runs a clothing boutique in Antwerp, Belgium, where she was born and raised.
