“Top Chef” turns up the heat this Thursday, transporting its six remaining culinary contenders to Calgary, Alberta. Known for its ranching heritage and stunning scenery, Calgary presents a unique backdrop for the competition, with ingredients like Alberta beef and local berries taking center stage.
But first, a test of a more homespun variety: pancakes. The chefs must whip up stacks of flapjacks for 50 hungry diners before tackling a more refined challenge. Later, they’ll have to impress a discerning table of culinary tastemakers, showing off their their skills with the mandated beef and berries.
Each chef knows their every culinary decision could be the difference between advancing and going home. “Top Chef” airs Thursday, May 22 at 9:00 PM ET on Bravo, with an extended 75-minute episode.
