WE tv’s hit reality series “Toya & Reginae,” chronicling the lives of Toya Johnson-Rushing and her daughter, Reginae Carter, is back for a second season of family drama, career pursuits, and cross-country challenges. The new season premieres Friday, January 24, 2025, at 9 PM ET/PT, 8 PM CT, on WE tv and ALLBLK.
This season finds mother and daughter navigating life on separate coasts. Toya remains rooted in Atlanta, focusing on family matters, including her brother Walter’s reintegration after his release from prison. Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, Reginae chases her acting dreams and attempts to keep a budding romance under wraps. The distance, however, doesn’t prevent familial tensions from simmering, particularly when Toya questions Reginae’s spending habits.
Adding fuel to the fire are the unpredictable actions of Toya’s mother, Ms. Anita, and a surprising disclosure from their close family friend, Beedy. The escalating drama leaves Reginae contemplating a return to Atlanta, questioning whether the allure of Hollywood outweighs the comfort and support of her family.
The network promises the “realest, rawest, most unfiltered season yet,” and the recently released Season Two trailer certainly delivers on that promise, featuring a series of emotional confrontations and challenging decisions.
