Large sporting events are a magnet for thieves, a lesson an Aston Villa fan learns the hard way when his Toyota Hilux vanishes during a match. Fortunately, a theft recovery tracker leads former police officer Neil straight to the vehicle. His job is not over, however, as he decides to lie in wait, turning a simple recovery into a tense stakeout. Will the thieves return to the scene of their crime?
Criminals are not just targeting cars. With bicycle theft rampant in London, recovery specialist Bilal uses a tiny GPS tracker to trace a stolen cargo bike to a back garden. Getting it back requires him to take drastic action, putting him in a direct confrontation to retrieve the property.
Elsewhere, tracker Richard is on the hunt for two stolen diggers worth a small fortune. His intel suggests the machinery, taken from a site in Birmingham, is now hidden inside an industrial unit in south Wales, forcing him to cross country lines to corner his targets.
Trace, Track, Get My Car Back airs Wednesday October 8, at 2:00pm on BBC One.
