Colter Shaw, the lone-wolf survivalist at the heart of CBS’s “Tracker,” finds himself pulled in two directions in this Sunday’s episode, “The Mercy Seat.” While his tracking skills are called upon by an old friend searching for two sisters lost in the unforgiving Montana wilderness, his business partner, Reenie, faces a moral quandary closer to home.
The episode splits its focus between a desperate search-and-rescue mission in the snowy mountains and a complicated ethical dilemma. As Colter uses his expertise to try and find the missing sisters, Reenie contends with a new client whose request pushes her boundaries of right and wrong. The two storylines give us a look into different facets of Colter’s world – the physical challenges of his work and the moral grey areas that come with it.
“The Mercy Seat,” written by Elwood Reid & Sharon Lee Watson and directed by David Barrett, airs Sunday, April 13th at 8:00 PM ET/PT on CBS. The episode will also be available to stream live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after it airs.
