So, another week, another potential serial killer for Colter to wrangle on Tracker. This time, the wilderness isn’t just the setting for a missing persons case, it’s apparently become a hunting ground. In “Trust Fall,” our perpetually weary protagonist finds himself facing a string of vanished campers. Enter Keaton (Brent Sexton), a retired officer whose gut tells him they’re dealing with something far more sinister than a few lost hikers. And let’s be real, retired cops on TV shows are never wrong about these things, are they?
The setup is familiar, sure, but “Trust Fall” looks to deliver a solid dose of suspense. Will Colter heed Keaton’s warnings, or will his usual skepticism lead him down a different, potentially more perilous path? The title itself, “Trust Fall,” suggests some uneasy alliances and tricky decisions ahead. One can only hope it doesn’t involve any literal trust falls, because that’s when things get truly uncomfortable.
While Tracker usually leans into the “lone wolf” investigator trope, the introduction of a seasoned, if slightly off-the-grid, partner might shake things up a bit. The question is, will this partnership prove fruitful, or will Keaton’s insights just add another complicated twist to an already murky situation? And can they catch this supposed serial killer before the body count climbs higher than a mountain peak?
Tune in to CBS on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 9:00 PM ET/PT to see how this wilderness whodunit plays out. The episode is also slated to hit Paramount+ for those who prefer their mysteries on demand.
