One pursuit begins with a routine “no insurance” alert and escalates quickly, leading to a drug bust and a suspected DUI. Elsewhere, officers investigate suspected drug trafficking involving a taxi, a development that is probably going to result in some strongly worded reviews on the taxi company’s website. Even an armed response unit gets involved, pursuing a car linked to a suspected armed burglary that morphs into a drug-related case.
In a slightly less action-packed, but equally concerning, incident, a couple traveling with a baby are stopped and searched for Class A drugs after a suspected drug exchange. It’s a stark reminder of how drug offenses can impact even the most vulnerable members of society.
