Travel Guides trades plane tickets for portholes this week as the hit unscripted format heads across the Tasman for a high-seas spin on its ratings-friendly travel formula.
Season 8, Episode 6 of the long-running Channel 9 series drops anchor in New Zealand, with the cast embarking on a full-scale cruise experience that blends scenic coastline, portside excursions, and plenty of onboard antics. The episode airs Sunday, May 25 at 7:00pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
This time, the Guides set sail on a floating city loaded with pools, food courts, entertainment lounges, and more than enough space to stir up mischief. Onboard time includes everything from boozy lunches to group karaoke, while shore visits include the fjords of Milford Sound, Dunedin’s postcard-ready streets, and the culture capital of Wellington.
Now in its eighth season, the Logie-winning format remains one of Nine’s most durable factual crowd-pleasers, with the ensemble of everyday Aussies delivering unfiltered verdicts on global travel experiences. The cruise marks a pivot from the usual land-based itineraries.
The series is produced by Nine in partnership with Studio Lambert and narrated by Denise Scott.
