Guy Fieri’s back on the road, revisiting some of his favorite “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” haunts in a new episode of “Triple D Nation.” Airing this Friday, “From Barbecue to Boxty” takes viewers on a cross-country taste tour, checking in with familiar faces and sampling their latest creations.
This isn’t just a nostalgia trip, though. Fieri’s not content to simply reminisce about past meals. He wants to see how these culinary pioneers have grown, how they’ve expanded their menus, and maybe even opened new locations. The episode features joints that are “always pushing the boundaries of their culinary comfort zones,” as they might put it on another Food Network show.
From smoky barbecue pits to the unique delights of boxty – an Irish potato pancake – the episode presents a wide range of flavors. Expect a mix of classic dishes that earned these spots a place in “Triple D” history, plus a few surprises along the way. After all, it wouldn’t be a Guy Fieri joint without something unexpected on the menu.
