Two for One: Jamie Lee Curtis – The Manchurian Candidate & Sweet Smell of Success (TCM, Saturday, May 10, 2025)

TV News Just In

TCM’s “Two for One” returns this Saturday, letting another celebrated filmmaker curate a double feature of classic films. This time, it’s the turn of the incomparable Jamie Lee Curtis, who has selected a pairing that features a night of suspense and sharp dialogue: “The Manchurian Candidate” and “Sweet Smell of Success.”

The evening kicks off with the chilling 1962 political thriller “The Manchurian Candidate,” a story of a brainwashed Korean War veteran tangled in a sinister conspiracy. Following that is the biting 1957 drama “Sweet Smell of Success,” starring Burt Lancaster and Jamie’s father Tony Curtis. This film dives into the cutthroat world of journalism, focusing on ambition, power, and moral compromise.

“Two for One” airs Saturday, May 10, at 8:00 PM ET on TCM.
