Tyler Perry’s drama series, ‘Sistas,’ is set to return for its eighth season this October. BET has announced the premiere date, with the season set to kick off on October 16th.

The series, which was renewed for an eighth season in April, features a cast including KJ Smith, Ebony Obsidian, Mignon Von, Novi Brown, Chido Nwokocha, DeVale Ellis, Crystal Renee’ Hayslett, Trinity Whiteside, Chris Warren, Joi Symone, Branden Wellington, and Stal Stowers. The show follows a group of close friends as they support each other through various life events.
Season eight is expected to address the aftermath of the seventh season’s significant event—a brutal stabbing—which left many questions unanswered. The new season will begin with an episode titled “Dead Man Walking.”
