The sixth episode of Tyler Perry’s Sistas eighth season, “Web of Deceit,” sets the stage for some serious interpersonal fireworks. Danni and Tony, after much hemming and hawing, finally decide to go public with their relationship.
Whether this will be met with cheers or jeers from the peanut gallery of their friends and family is anyone’s guess. Meanwhile, Rich, tired of being strung along, confronts Sabrina about her less-than-truthful tendencies. Honesty, it seems, is a rare commodity in this particular corner of the Tyler Perry universe.
Adding to the brewing drama, Marie Willis decides it’s time to put her foot down (or perhaps stomp it repeatedly) with Vanessa. Her demands extend to Karen and Pam as well.
“Web of Deceit” looks to deliver on its titular promise (or threat) by unraveling the tangled mess of secrets and lies that bind these characters together. Expect the usual mix of confrontations and revelations, possibly delivered with the subtlety of a sledgehammer. After all, this is a Tyler Perry production, where restraint is often a foreign concept.
