Winter’s icy grip has descended upon Glantontown, and with it, the annual closure of Gary & Barry’s Water Ice Shoppe. For Mark Hoagie, this is a personal tragedy. His access to his beloved frozen confection cut off, he’s facing a bleak, water ice-less winter. But, as they say, necessity is the mother of invention (or, in this case, questionable business partnerships).
In the season one finale, “Water Ice Shoppe,” Mark takes a bold step into the world of commerce, partnering with the very institution responsible for his current predicament. Driven by his insatiable craving for the sweet treat, he aims to ensure year-round access to the icy ambrosia. Whether this venture proves a sweet success or a frosty failure remains to be seen.
“Universal Basic Guys,” which premiered September 8, 2024, chronicles the adventures of brothers Mark and Hank Hoagie as they navigate life after automation courtesy of universal basic income. The voice cast includes Adam Malamut, Talia Genevieve, Fred Armisen, and Ally Maki.
