Oxygen True Crime continues to unearth obscure but chilling cases with a new installment of Unknown Serial Killers of America, airing Sunday at 7 PM ET. This week’s episode, Daniel Conahan (Season 1, Episode 3), heads to Florida to examine a series of murders that initially baffled law enforcement. Five bodies turn up along the state’s so-called “hog trails,” leaving investigators with few clues and a growing sense of dread.
The series focuses on serial killers who, for various reasons, haven’t achieved the notoriety of household names like Bundy or Dahmer. In this case, the early discovery of the victims on the hog trails stalls the investigation, until two men narrowly escape an attempted attack and provide crucial details about their assailant.
Years later, the discovery of eight more bodies in nearby locations raises the chilling possibility that the killings were linked. Unknown Serial Killers of America aims to bring these underreported cases into the spotlight, reminding us that for every killer who becomes infamous, many more operate in the shadows.
“Unknown Serial Killers of America: Daniel Conahan” airs Sunday, June 1 at 7:00 PM ET on Oxygen True Crime.
