Upload is a sci-fi comedy series created by Emmy Award-winning writer Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks and Recreation) that takes place in a technologically advanced future when hologram phones, 3D food printers, and automated grocery shops are the standard. Humans, for the first time, have the option of being ‘uploaded’ into a virtual afterlife.
Nathan is at a fork in his (after)life in Upload Season Two… Ingrid, his ex-girlfriend, has unexpectedly arrived in Lakeview, seeking to rebuild their bond, but his heart still yearns for Nora, his customer service angel. Nora, on the other hand, is off the grid and working with the anti-tech rebel group ‘The Ludds.’ Season Two is jam-packed with fresh near-future notions, such as Lakeview’s new in-app digital baby programme, dubbed ‘prototykes,’ and other satirical peeks of future technological advancements and difficulties.
Greg Daniels, who also acts as executive producer alongside Howard Klein, conceived the series.
