USA Network’s Adaptation of Grisham’s The Rainmaker Casts Milo Callaghan in the lead

USA Network’s adaptation of John Grisham’s bestselling novel, “The Rainmaker”, has set Milo Callaghan to star in the main role.

Callaghan will take on the role of Rudy Baylor, a recent law school graduate who uncovers conspiracies and faces off against a formidable legal opponent, Leo Drummond, while also dealing with a relationship with his law school girlfriend, Sarah. The story, previously adapted into a 1997 film, sees Rudy and his paralegal colleague investigating the mysterious death of their client’s son.

The series, ordered by USA Network in June, will be written by Michael Seitzman and Jason Richman, who will also serve as executive producers.

John Slattery, known for his role in Mad Men, will portray Leo Drummond, while Madison Iseman, of I Know What You Did Last Summer fame, will play Rudy’s girlfriend, Sarah.

Callaghan has already made appearances in popular shows such as Doctor Who, FBI: International, and The Spanish Princess. He is also set to co-star with alongside David Tennant and Aidan Turner in the upcoming Hulu miniseries Rivals.
