The road to VHS-fueled glory is paved with bad intentions, terrible decisions, and the occasional erratic hitchhiker. In the second episode of “Video Nasty,” titled “Kill Scene,” teenage horror hounds Billy, Con, and Zoe embark on a pilgrimage to England, hoping to finally track down the last missing piece of their coveted video collection. But their cross-border adventure takes a decidedly weird turn when they pick up Joe, a hitchhiker whose unpredictable behavior adds another dimension of weird to their already strange quest.
Meanwhile, back in the relative safety of Northern Ireland, the teens’ parents discover their children’s illicit video obsession and, more importantly, their sudden disappearance. Parental panic ensues, adding another layer of complication to Billy, Con, and Zoe’s rapidly escalating misadventures.
Will the trio find the elusive VHS tape? Will they manage to evade the authorities and their increasingly concerned parents? And will Joe finally explain why he’s carrying a rubber chicken? Some questions are better left unanswered, at least until next week.
