Actor Stelio Savante, known for roles in Between Borders, The Chosen, and Ugly Betty, is set to join the cast of the next project from Vindication creator Jarod O’Flaherty. This new installment follows the faith-based crime drama’s fourth season, currently airing weekly on the Angel Studios platform from March 20 to May 8.
The original series, Vindication, available on the Angel Studios platform and app, centers on Detective Gary Travis (Todd Terry) in the fictional town of East Bank, Texas. Travis balances difficult criminal cases with his own personal challenges. This upcoming chapter, will continue the story after season four’s events but will introduce a changed format while keeping the core elements.
Savante, a SAG Award nominee and American Movie Award winner, will take on the role of a tough government official. His character is assigned the difficult job of managing a public relations crisis.
The actor recently appeared on CBS’s S.W.A.T. and will soon be featured in the Amazon MGM Studios film Sarah’s Oil, alongside Zachary Levi and Sonequa Martin-Green. He is also appearing in Stay Forte, a drama, and has recently completed filming on Poachers Moon, a British-South African co-production. Savante’s film work has generated close to $400 million in global box office revenue.
