VIZIO SmartCast, the operating system powering VIZIO Smart TVs, is about to become a much friendlier place for basketball and soccer fans. The company is expanding its Sports Zone feature to include these popular sports, creating a one-stop shop for finding and watching games across various streaming services.

Previously focused on football, baseball, and hockey, the expanded Sports Zone now encompasses men’s and women’s professional and college basketball, alongside a comprehensive collection of U.S. and international soccer leagues. This means that whether you’re a die-hard NBA fan, a devotee of the Women’s World Cup, or a follower of a European soccer league, VIZIO aims to make finding your games easier.

A core element of the updated Sports Zone is the introduction of Team Pages. Users can now follow their favorite teams, creating a personalized hub for game schedules and streaming information. No more toggling between apps or searching endlessly for where to watch. VIZIO’s goal is to simplify the often-fragmented world of sports streaming, providing a clear and concise guide to all the action.

VIZIO is also incorporating a personalized Watchlist feature. Users can select upcoming games and save them for easy access, either directly from the Sports Zone or through the My Watchlist row on the VIZIO Home screen.

The new basketball coverage spans the NBA, WNBA, and NCAA men’s and women’s basketball, while the soccer side boasts inclusion of top leagues like the Premier League, Champions League, La Liga, MLS, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, and more. This expansion complements the existing coverage of NFL, NCAA Football, MLB, and NHL, consolidating VIZIO’s position as a central viewing platform for a broad range of sports fans.
