“Welcome to Wrexham” Gets Season Three Renewal from FX

FX’s Welcome to Wrexham has been renewed for a third season, set to premiere in Spring 2024. The announcement was made by Nick Grad, President of FX Entertainment.
Welcome to Wrexham follows the efforts of Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds to revive Wrexham AFC, one of the oldest football teams in history. The series is currently nominated for six Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program. It is available for streaming on Hulu in the U.S., Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ in all other territories.
The show documents McElhenney and Reynolds as they navigate running the 3rd oldest professional football club in the world. The duo purchased the Red Dragons in 2020 with the goal of turning the club into an underdog success story. Season 2 follows the team’s journey as they fight for promotion out of the National League and return to the English Football League.
Welcome to Wrexham showcases the dreams and worries of the working-class town of Wrexham in North Wales, UK. The series explores the challenges and changes brought by fame to the small community. It follows the interconnected fates of the team and the town as they strive for success.
The docuseries is executive produced by McElhenney, Reynolds, and a team of producers from More Better Productions, Maximum Effort Productions, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Boardwalk Pictures.
