Welcome to Wrexham: Anything’s Possible (FX, Thursday, June 5, 2025)

Welcome to Wrexham Key Art

Welcome to Wrexham, the docuseries that’s turned a small Welsh football club into a global underdog story, returns Thursday with an inside look at the high-stakes, high-stress world of the transfer window. Anything’s Possible, the fifth episode of season four, finds the club bracing for potential player departures and the nail-biting task of rebuilding and retooling for the rest of the season. Airing at 9 PM ET on FX, the episode examines the business side of the sport, where owners, fans, and footballers alike ride the rollercoaster of hope, anticipation, and cold, hard cash.

Since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took ownership of Wrexham AFC back in 2020, the club has become a case study in what happens when Hollywood meets the beautiful game—and the scrutiny that comes with it.

“Anything’s Possible” leans into the drama inherent to football, where loyalty, ambition, and market forces collide. For Wrexham, the goal is to get the best players possible into the squad—but as always, the series also shines a light on the less glamorous side of sports, one fraught with negotiations, near-misses, and the occasional shattered dream.
